SEO and Google Ads for Dental Practices
We help general, cosmetic and specialist dental practices fill their schedules from Google: organic search, the local map pack, Google Ads and Local Services Ads. Every lead is tracked from first click to booked appointment, so you see what each new patient cost.
Our in-house team is available 24/7 and covers US business hours, and every page and ad is built around healthcare advertising rules.
Why dental marketing needs a different playbook
Clicks cost more than average
Dentists pay a typical $8.00 per click and $72.97 per lead in WordStream’s 2026 search ad benchmarks, against $5.42 per click across all industries. Campaigns that aren’t tracked to booked appointments waste budget fast.
Reviews decide the shortlist
In a 2023 Dentaly survey of 1,099 Americans, 83% used online reviews to evaluate a dentist, and 52% would only consider one with at least 10 reviews.
Health ads have extra rules
Google treats health as a sensitive category for personalized ads, which limits remarketing and Customer Match, and since September 2025 Meta blocks custom audiences that suggest health conditions. We plan targeting and tracking around these limits.
Patients choose locally
Patients search for a dentist near them and compare practices in the map pack, so your Google Business Profile, reviews and location pages matter as much as your website.
What we do for dental practices
Dental SEO
Pages for the treatments you want more of, such as implants, clear aligners, emergency visits and cleanings, plus technical fixes and content that answers patients’ questions.
Local SEO and Google Business Profile
A complete profile for each location, a steady review request process, and consistent listings on dental and health directories.
Google Ads
Search campaigns built around high-value treatments and emergency searches, with negative keywords to cut wasted spend and ad copy that follows Google’s healthcare policies.
Local Services Ads
Setup and help with Google’s verification for dentists: licence and background checks, NPI verification and the HIPAA business associate agreement Google requires.
Call and form tracking
Calls and forms tracked to booked appointments, so every report shows cost per lead and cost per new patient.
Websites for dental practices
Fast, mobile-first WordPress sites with clear calls to book, insurance information and treatment pages.
What working with us looks like for a dental practice
An illustrative example of how we’d work with a two-dentist general practice in Texas. It shows the work and the order we do it in. It is not a client result.
Audit and tracking
Weeks 1–2. Review of the website, Google Business Profile and booking process. Call and form tracking set up, so every lead can be followed to a booked appointment.
Google Ads and Local Services Ads
Weeks 3–6. Search campaigns for implants and emergency visits, and help with Google’s Local Services Ads verification, which usually takes 3–4 weeks once documents are in.
Local SEO
Months 2–4. Treatment pages, a complete Google Business Profile with insurance and location details, and a steady review request process.
Report and adjust
Monthly. Leads, cost per lead and booked appointments, then budget moved toward the treatments that fill the schedule.
Illustrative example only. Since 2015 we’ve worked with 1,000+ clients; they’re under NDA, so we don’t publish their names or results.
How we work
Questions dental practices ask us
Straight answers on rules, timelines and cost.
Most practices see early movement in local rankings within a few months. Competitive cities and treatments take longer. We’ll tell you what’s realistic for your market after the audit, and we never promise rankings.
Yes. Dentist is an eligible category in the US. Google checks the practice and provider (licences, background checks and NPI) and requires a HIPAA business associate agreement before ads can run. Screening usually takes 3–4 weeks after documents are submitted, and you pay per lead. Google doesn’t give lead credits in health care, so we review lead quality closely.
HIPAA compliance stays with your practice, and we plan our work around it: no audiences built from health conditions, and tracking set up with HHS guidance on online tracking in mind. For forms and booking tools that collect patient information, we work with your compliance advisor.
Google Ads and Local Services Ads management costs $199 a month plus 20% of your ad budget. A one-off SEO audit is $149 per website, and ongoing SEO is quoted per practice. Tell us about your practice and we’ll send a custom quote within 24 hours.
Yes. Your website, ads accounts and data are yours from day one, and they stay yours if you leave.
